Ingredients:

1 pound green beans
1 Tablespoon grape seed oil or vegetable oil
5 garlic cloves
1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes
1 teaspoon ground ginger powder
salt/pepper
1 and 1/2 teaspoons soy sauce

Flavorful recipe from India that will wake you up and make you happy!
It is medium spicy and terrific.

Ingredients:

3 or 4 Tablespoons olive oil
2 teaspoons black mustard seeds
2 teaspoons urad dal
1 medium onion chopped (about a cup)
1 teaspoon table salt
1 teaspoon cayenne pepper
1 teaspoon turmeric
1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
1 cup tomato sauce (8 ounces)
1 medium tomato chopped
6 cups chopped cauliflower (one regular sized cauliflower)

You can leave the cayenne out if you wish, or try just 1/8 teaspoon (a pinch) to start.

Urad Dal is a lentil that is used in many Indian dishes. Mine had the dark outside skin removed.

Heat oil in skillet over medium heat and add the black mustard seeds and urad dal, cook until the seeds start to pop and the urad dal is golden.
Add the onion and cook till half way soft, I am cooking on medium heat through out the recipe.
Ad your salt, cayenne, turmeric and tomato sauce and cook till it looks like a paste.
Add your tomato and cauliflower and cup of water and mix and cover and cook ten minutes covered.
Check to see how soft the cauliflower is and then cook 5 more minutes to reduce sauce and your desired doneness of the vegetables.

This would be excellent with a mild fish, chicken or just anything.. You could also have this as a meal as a vegetarian meal.

You can use less of the cayenne if you are worried about the spice.

I think some cream added to this would be excellent with a velvet flavor and mouth feel, but is certainly not needed. Or sour cream and lemon juice as well.
